Scott Kemp (b. Vancouver, BC | unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations) is an interdisciplinary artist with a focus on people. People are always present in his art practice –– they are subject, audience and collaborator. His motivating concern is to explore concepts of individuality, probing the plasticity of the borders we construct around our selves, others and our environments. Kemp was a founding member of the non-profit art space Duplex Artists Society in Vancouver in 2015. His artwork has been included in solo and group exhibitions internationally.
