Unit 17 is thrilled to announce Scorpio Rising, Shahin Sharafaldin’s first solo exhibition with the gallery. The show includes never before seen oil on canvas works made over the last year. 

 

Sharafaldin (b. 1995) is an artist currently living & working in Tiohtià:ke / Mooniyang / Montréal. He has exhibited locally and internationally: It’s Much Louder Than Before, Anat Ebgi, Los Angeles (2021); Arezoo: Intimacy and Iran, James Black Gallery, Vancouver (2021); Crocodile Tears, Unit 17, Vancouver (2020); Shadow Tongue, Duplex Artists Society, Vancouver (2019) and Bad Flavour, Wonderful Taste, Centre A, Vancouver (2017). Sharafaldin studied at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Vancouver and Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam.
